Hughes net sucks

This is absolutely the worst Internet service since dial up.... literally. I told them I run an online business, they knew I have a disabled son who can't see so he listens to the TV shows he likes, buffering 20 mins out of a 30 min show. I'm disgusted with this service it's truly a waste of money. I get better Internet connection on my cricket phones hotspot to watch TV 🤷 what a huge Hughes net waste of time n money 👎👎👎👎👎

I think we can all sympathise with your concerns, and I hope they get addressed.

That said, this site is for account and tech support.  It seems you're reviewing the service, which this site is not for.  There are countless sites on the Web where you can review the service or complain/vent about it. This is not one of them.  Your best bet is to use this site to reach out to the HN reps. They can help if you give them a chance and explain the specific issues you're experiencing (such as buffering), and if you provide them context and as much information about the situation as possible.

The fact that you have a disabled son does not change the nature of satellite internet.  Sat internet is not cable or fiber, and it may not even be as good as what you get via hotspots.  That's just the laws of physics and other limitations of the technology.  The company's not targeting you or your son.

If you have a residential account, you can work with the techs and reps on this site to improve your experience. If they can't improve your experience within the limits of the technology, you may have recourse.  If your account is a business account, there is an 800 number you can call.  This community is only for residential customers.

Please go to https://legal.hughesnet.com/ and read the subscriber agreement that corresponds to your type of account.  Among other things, it will include disclaimers as to what you can expect, and it will include information on how to pursue grievances against the company.
