I love Hughesnet...  But unless Hughes can beat StraightTalk Home Phone for $15/month and provide the same level of service, or unless the local cell towers here go bye bye, I don't see me signing up for Hughes Voice...  Don't like the idea of a freak storm making it impossible to contact Hughes, or emergency services.

Really? My next door neighbor was offered Hughesnet voice (but deferred till this fall). So, I called Hughesnet and tried to order hughesnet voice but your representative insists that it's not available in my area!! So, I called the local Hughesnet installer and he has installed several voice modems in my area. What in the world is going on? Can I, or can I not, get HUghesnet voice? If possible, can I go through some other channel other than your telephone reps? Give me an email address and I can provide my DSS number, name, and other acct info.
