THINKING OF SHUTTING IT DOWN, .STARTED WITH THE ONE WAY SYSTEM YEARS AGO, LEFT AFTER 2 YRS BECAUSE OF THE SPEED, (THAT HUSE WONT ADMIT TO HAVING) WENT TO DISH,(BAD MISTAKE) CAME BACK TO HUGHES, A FEW YEARS LATER TECH SUPPORT REACHED ME BECAUSE OF THE TROUBLE I HAD, HOOKED ME UP TO GEN 4. WE LOVED IT, FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS, THEN SLOW SPEEDS CAME BACK,(AS IT ALWAYS DOES WHEN THEY OVER SELL A SATT). NOW AFTER 4 OR SO WITH GEN 4, NO ONE EVEN ASKED IF I WANTED TO UPGRADE TO GEN5, (YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD GIVE LONG TIME CUSTOMERS FIRST SHOT) BUT NO, NOT WITH HUGHESNET. NOW, BACK TO MY PROBLEM,, HAVENT HAD ANYTHING BUT HUGHES FOR LAST 15 YEARS, (EXCEPT SMALL TIME WITH DISH), AND NOW I HAVE 6 GIG DATA PLAN ON MY PHONE AND TABLETS, THAT IS MUCH FASTER THAN HUGHES COULD DREAM OF, AND I CAN SAVE $60.00 A MONTH BETWEEN HUGHES AND THEM. HATE TO GIVE UP MY EMAIL ADDRESSES BUT I THINK I WILL LIVE. AND IM SURE HUGHES WONT POST THIS ANY WAY. SO HUGHES WHEN YOU READ THIS,,SHUT OFF MY SYSTEM AND SEND ME A BOX FOR RETURNS..I DONT WANT TO CALL TO TALK TO SOMEONE DUMBER THAN ME THAT CANT SPEAK GOOD ENGLISH.. i've been with HughesNet for eight years. Had some difficult months but worked through them. What would I have had without satellite internet in my dark territory of no cable, no cellular, and a land line that came out of a swamp where vermin ate through the wires? Nothing. Greatful for what I had and some people that kept me going.
