Can you get to this page with the laptop?  If so, are both boxes at the top of the page green?  As well, what do you see for a State Code in the System Summary box?  Also, what do you see for your Satellite Receive Signal Strength in the WAN Info box?

If you can't get to that page, but you're sure that the laptop is connected to the modem via WiFi, go ahead and power cycle the modem.  First shut down your computer.  Then unplug the modem at the wall outlet or the power pack (NOT at the back of the modem).  Wait about a minute, then plug the modem back in.  Then wait about five minutes.  Then turn your computer back on so that it can either automatically reconnect to the modem or manually reconnect it to modem if that's what you normally do.  Then try getting to that page again.  If you can't, your laptop is not connecting properly to the modem.

If, after this, you still can't get to that page, try doing so with a device that's connected to the modem via LAN cable, if you have one.
