Community vs. Paid Support vs. Knowledge Base vs. Geographic Variations

Re: Community vs. Paid Support vs. Knowledge Base vs. Geographic Variations

Likewise. BTW, I'm a bit concerned reading this other thread that I'll be chasing this for months: https://community.myhughesnet.com/hughesnet/topics/phantom-usage-dddd-dreaded-data-drain-disease-det...

Of course, my "No Data Available" issue makes me feel very much in the lesser camp of troubleshooting comparison capabilities with regard to counters. So, I appreciate the updates you've provided so far. I did notice this thread: https://community.myhughesnet.com/hughesnet/topics/data-usage-screen-says-no-data-available so would it be possible for the successes in that thread to be applied to my "No Data Available" issue?

Edit: Sorry... hit submit too quickly.

Hi Jay,

Yes, I've escalated this to the same engineers who resolved that issue in the thread you linked. No updates yet... I've given them another poke to see what's up. I'll keep you in the loop.

Thanks,
Liz

Re: Community vs. Paid Support vs. Knowledge Base vs. Geographic Variations

Thanks Liz. I've been monitoring at home the past few days but since I have no "Bonus Bytes" it isn't clear what I could track on "Internet Usage" in the evening or if it would simply be throttled.

Since Wednesday, I applied patches for my Macbook Air and have worked from home. I use LittleSnitch which tracks all usage. Everything else in the house was in airplane mode or physically turned off (not just suspended).

The closest I came to catching a leak was disconnecting the LAN cable from the modem (air gap) and then logging into http://my.hughesnet.com/desktop/desktops.pyt?tab=Support%20Center again from a 4G Mobile Hotspot to review "Internet Usage".

I unplugged the LAN cable at 2016-01-27 at 6.45.10 PM (Pacific)

Even then I on that quick test I saw a 5MB difference in "Download Allowance".

6729MB remaining 2016-01-27 at 6.57.40 PM (Pacific)

6724MB remaining 2016-01-27 at 7.06.42 PM (Pacific)

As of today, I've purchased another 4GB of Token Bytes just to be safe as I continue to troubleshoot.

Re: Community vs. Paid Support vs. Knowledge Base vs. Geographic Variations

Good news Liz -- I just logged out and logged in again to "Internet Usage" and found that reports are being created now and they appear to go all the way back to January 19, 2016!

Okay, and more good news... this is working again as well:

https://admportal.myhughesnet.com/ViewUsage/ViewUsageServlet.servlet?siteID=MYSANIDHERE&month=this&Submit=Submit

So, I now have access to a full report detailed report.

Let's hope the access to the report remains stable.

Wonderful news! I let the engineers working on this know that you confirmed the reports are back up.
