DATA CONFUSION

I am seriously considering going back to Exede. This is too complicated. With Exede I knew where I stood in data usage and had the FREE DATA FROM MIDNIGHT TO 5 am EVERYDAY, data allowance used or not.  What do I owe Hughesnet for 10 days of losing data while being off my desktop as I unpacked and took care of business related to moving to a new home? Thanks for the experience!   PS Purchased a router from the install tech with no paperwork or way to access to the device. My bad, too distracted trying to get settled in new place. [edited out SAN]

Re: DATA CONFUSION

You would probably go to your modem at http://192.168.0.1 to view data allowance, or log into your account at http://supportcenter.myhughesnet.com to view allowance, or alternatively, download the status meter from the link I just provided.

Your allowance is broken into two parts, Anytime Data and Bonus Bytes.  Anytime data is used from 8:00AM to 2:00AM, and your bonus bytes are used from 2:00AM to 8:00AM.  However, if you use all your Bonus Bytes, the system will then begin to use your anytime data.

I'm on my tablet at the moment si I don't have my normal stock of pictures but if you follow this link it may give you a better idea of your data structure.

Hi jessiet,
Let me welcome you to the community.
I recommend that you edit your post and remove your SAN. (the DSSnumber)
If you can give the brand name on the router, would be glad to look up the default access for you.

Re: DATA CONFUSION

Good morning jessiet,

Welcome to the community and thank you for posting. Charles and Gwalk posted some great information about how your data allowances are set up. I pulled up your account to see what plan you're on to let you know exactly what you have available. So as a Connect Pro subscriber, you have 10 GB of Anytime Bytes available whenever you need them and 10 GB of Bonus Bytes available between 2 am - 8 am; ideal for scheduling any computer/device updates. If you purchase any tokens, that goes into its own bucket, separate from your Anytime and Bonus Bytes, so your meters won't replenish if you were to use a token.

If you have additional questions, let us know.

Thanks,
Liz

Thanks,
Liz
