Internet has been down for a week. Tried calling customer service and nothing was resolved. Feeling super frustrated! Weather has not been bad here as it was explained that could be causing this.
Okay. Normally that's an indication of inclement weather, whether at your location or at the location of your gateway, but with it lasting for a week it's definitely not due to weather.
Though they may not be able to do so because of a possible connection issue with your service, the reps will almost assuredly want to try to run remote diagnostics on your HughesNet equipment, so it would be best to leave the modem plugged in so they can do so. They also may need some personal information from you in order to locate your account, but they'll ask for it to be given via private message, for which they'll provide a link.
Unfortunately, the reps here are only on Monday through Friday from approximately 9AM to 6PM EST, which means you likely won't hear from them until Monday at the earliest. The only other option is contacting HughesNet's phone support again at 866-347-3292. If you can wait, however, or you're just not having much success with the phone help, the reps here will assuredly be able to help you.
