Hi Mark,

Thank you for posting your speed test results. I want to apologize for the time this is taking for us to address your technical concerns. I did notice that you currently have an HT1000 modem set up at your site. We have a newer type of modem available and this is something I should have addressed in addition to your radio needing to be replaced. We will go ahead and send you a replacement HT1100 modem which will ship by UPS, with expedited shipping at no cost to you. We feel this modem will help to properly optimize your performance.

I'll also drop a few tokens onto your account (you can view and use them from your status meter, or http://supportcenter.myhughesnet.com) to help compensate for the additional speed tests once you receive your new modem. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work this out for you.

I think if Hughesnet would have sent me out a HT1100 all the problems I had would have been taken care of, as I had similar issues

Hi Mark,

Thank you again for running all of these speed tests for us, and we will need to see a few more. So, I'd like you to run some alternative speed tests in addition to the HughesNet speed tests that you will run later over the next few days. The site can be found at: _www.testmy.net. Please run these tests during 3 or 4 different time periods during the day which would be more optimal; such as morning, noon, afternoon, evening. In your area, running them at peak times when everyone is on the internet will not provide accurate results for us. To ensure that the results of this speed test are correct please close any other applications you may have running on your system.

What you will need to look for once you access www.testmy.net is the Auto test link on the navigation bar. Once you click that, all you have to do is change the upload and download size to 12Mb each. There is a share results link that you can use to post here when the test has completed, or you can take screenshots instead. After posting your results please take the weekend to test your system further. Since the updated modem has recently been installed, we do need more days of troubleshooting to equip ourselves with more information. The final step if nothing improves will be to escalate this up to our engineers using all of your results. 

I'll also drop a few tokens onto your account (you can view and use them from your status meter, or http://supportcenter.myhughesnet.com) to help compensate for the additional speed tests we are having you run. I've let the testmy.net tests run most of the day today. I am very pleased with these speeds. Maybe the problem has been resolved. I will continue to spot check it the next few days.

Saw good speeds for a few days, but now back to the very slow sub 1mbps speeds.  Certainly not anywhere near what I'm paying for.
