I'm new to HughesNet but since subscribing I have had issues downloading from different CDN download sites. I've tried at different times without success...examples are www.filepi.com, uploadable.cn, rapidgator.net, microsoft's download site, my google+ drive, sourceforge.net and docker.io
When I'm not on HughesNet with my laptop it works fine, when on HughesNet it usually fails with a network error or redirects to re-initiate the asynchronous connection session authentication.
I pretty technical and there is nothing from my aspect that would be different. Tried different browsers and wget/curl to narrow down the different aspects and seems to be upstream on how adaptive http streaming is handled (RFC 6983 and RFC 7337) as required by RFC 6707.
Specifically when the redirect in RI-8 of RFC 7337 the download session doesn't process the redirection.
I see this is your first post so welcome to the community! We would like to address your concerns. Is this first time this has happened since having your service installed on 8/14? This could be due to web acceleration. Try disabling these features to see if this solves your problem. Here's a link to a community post explaining how to toggle this feature:
AMA IPGW? I tested via webpagetest, http://tools.maxcdn.com/ which showed the re-init, I then tested with hurl.it and runscope to verify the particulars of the stream and elimnate any cache issues. Still had the issue especially updating Azure and GCE or pulling content from docker. No web accelleration or policy restrictions on my side.
