Re: Downloads

Highly doubtful, maratsade. The difference on that is because there are too many "moving parts" in a real computer/laptop than an iPad with a few apps on it. You'd throw away 200MB a day on just "services" related stuff on a computer.

Re: Downloads

Looks like an iPad is the way to go for watching Netflix, then! I'm going to test this! Were you using a newer iPad? I have a 3rd gen or something, not one of the newest ones.

Re: Downloads

No, it was an older model from about 2014, iPad mini I got for $100 on sale at Best Buy! We still use it here for testing out things like update download speeds Smiley Wink

Re: Downloads

I'll test mine -- there's a use for the early morning while Bonus Bytes is till active. Smiley Happy I'll stream something and then see how much was used. It would be amazing if I could replicate your results!

Re: Downloads

"we've connected an iPad to a HughesNet gen4 system in the lab over wifi and played Netflix HD videos non-stop during work hours until we exceeded our allowance, which took a few days on the 10GB plan. "

I tried this -- my iPad used the same amount of data as the laptop.
