Hi,
It looks like there is a technical problem with Hughesnet loading facebook. I will also not load instagram (owned by facebook). Only sites I have found that currently will not load, load instantly on cellular network and multiple devices so by process of elimination it seems to be Hughes.
It looks like this problem happens at least every few months by the post history in this forum. It would be interesting to know what the issue is.
Just wanted to make Hughes aware of the problem.

I'm on Gen5 and had these problems (and many others) since it was installed. And now I know it's only hughesnet due to a friend visiting with Verizon Jetpack and cellular service, which I didn't know worked where I live. Even though Hughesnet "speeds" seem to be 5x faster than the cellular, I can load pages and even netflix very quickly on the cellular service but not on Hughesnet. Most things (Facebook and Instagram are the worst) load only a few photos and then just stall or quit trying. I was given the run around by tech support this AM. She "Checked" things, and it seemed to work until I got off the phone, now both are really non-functional.
I can't help but think HN is throttling access to the most popular sites. And that is not what I'm paying for.

The call shouldn't be long, the engineers want to understand the exact symptoms you're experiencing and then have you reproduce the issue while they run a trace.
