Re: Gen 5 actual speeds Vs Gen 4 actual speeds (at point of use)

It's been a couple days since I cycled the HT2000W

Yes I am using a labtop with ethernet and WIFI disable

Re: Gen 5 actual speeds Vs Gen 4 actual speeds (at point of use)

Really wish I could be of more help, but it appears engineering is going to have to get involved when the reps get back into the office.  Hopefully there's enough information here to work off of for them (page load times, speedtests, WAS being toggled and so on).

The only other question I can possibly think of that they might ask... Does this happen on multiple devices?

Yes; all devices have slow browsing... which is why I am focused on HT2000W up.

laptop - main device

HP printer

Note 8 phone (not sure of the heatlh change the first time I seen it but wife was on the phone)

tablet Samsung TAB

tablet RCA

Desktop (not allways on)

Re: Gen 5 actual speeds Vs Gen 4 actual speeds (at point of use)

Hello Larry,

You seem to have a very interesting situation going on here... I ran diagnostics on your system yesterday and did not see an issue with the equipment or signal strength. On Monday I should be able to get with an engineer and have them pull your system up to take a look at it themselves.

In the meantime, I just wanted to mention that the Samsung wireless device we have listed in here is showing a very poor wireless signal. I've cleared your HughesNet modem of it's DNS cache and the logged statistics for the performance of the modem itself so that I can get a fresh look at it. Since the DNS cache is cleared, you might notice some pages are loading even slower than before, but this may speed up as you browse. I recommend powercycling your personal devices and trying to browse again - let me know if you see any difference.

Thanks, Amanda

@AmandaThanks I can't wait to see if can resolve this issue. All devices have been cycled.

Re: Gen 5 actual speeds Vs Gen 4 actual speeds (at point of use)

The past couple of speed test have been good compared to my first round of tests. I hope this will be substained. It also still takes a while for pages to load all the photos.

Re: Gen 5 actual speeds Vs Gen 4 actual speeds (at point of use)

For the past couple weeks service has not been what I was expecting since upgrading to Gen5 but it has been manageable compared to the first few weeks after the upgrade. I will be continuing to monitor speed and post new findings as needed.
