HI, I actually had the same problem. Tech tech from Frontier said it would be several days (with NO I-net) and cost $150. Also, not only was my DIN connector loose and fell out occasional but I caught it with good Fluke meter having 0 volts output on BOTH the voltage pins.
I called the installer - who has to drive 4 hours or more round trip. He put in Priority Mail (and woiuldl not even accept even reimbursement or the postage) Solved that problem.
Ain't it absolutely blessed and wonderful when things go right and people have a heart to serve. I hope I can do as well daily as this installer. He was top drawer. And has replaced my HT1100 Modem THREE times in past 9 months.

Yeah! We make all our modems here in Maryland! That reminds me, I *still* haven't gotten a tour of our factory, I need to get on that.
OK, your modem is going to be sent to you very soon. You can use the box it comes in to send back your old modem; just be sure to use the return label in the outer pouch. Hook up the new modem the same way your old one was, give it about 15 minutes, and you're good to go.
