I am done.

I am done.

Upgrade to Gen4 was a waste of money not to mention I am going to loose my job if I can't get some work done.  Speeds decreased around Thanksgiving.  Okay I always expect that with christmas shopping but they have never gotten back to normal.  If I can get good response during the bonus bytes hours then I should be able to get decent response during the afternoon.  I am so frustrated I can't stand it anymore.  I am looking for other options.  Homing pigeons come to mind, they would be faster!

Re: I am done.

My problem started, too, around thanksgiving. Still an ongoing issue that several Gen4 customers are experiencing. I've got my own thread going and have been in touch with "tier 4" or "executive level" support. Hopefully their engineers will get something figured out soon. Good luck.

Re: I am done.

Zora,

Thanks for the post and welcome to the community! Sorry that your not having a great experience, but allow us to help here.

We were able to locate your account successfully and performed remote diagnostics on your site. No issues were present on your system or equipment, so we would like to further troubleshoot your speed issue.

Can you connect your computer directly to the modem and run some speed tests for us to evaluate?

Please run a set of 5 speed tests 3 times over the course of a 24 hour period for us to properly evaluate your speeds. Your patience and cooperation is appreciated, and we look forward to hearing back from you.

Re: I am done.

I have called in 3 times.  I have run speed tests.  I have done all those things.  I also got put off to a 3rd party pc repair company in Canada without being told.  Never had that happen before.   I have over 20 years IT experience.  I know when I am having an issue on my end or yours.  It is on your end.  If you have some settings that you can set to get me a decent response time, then great feel free to tweak it.   But I don't have time to call in and go through all the trouble shooting tests again.  I have to sit here and wait on a response so that I can get my work done and not get fired so that I can pay my bill.

Re: I am done.

I finally was able to get some work done today but only because I got up at 2am to do it.  I found some tests I did on the 9th.  I will see if I get time to do more.  Right now I got to get some sleep.  2am comes pretty early especially when you are working 2 jobs.  What is an acceptable delay in Hughes.net eyes?  I am on a pro plan, the max plan is only 5mphs more for a lot more money.  (which I can guarantee the other half won't go for)

Re: I am done.

Zora, that is not the right test. You need to go here and after providing your SAN choose the option that says "I just want to measure download and upload speed"
