I'm having internet/router problems.

I can't seem to stay connected to the internet all that long before I lose connection. Every 5 minutes or so the top 4 lights on router; LAN, Transmit, Receive, and System would turn off and turn back on in a few minutes. Sometimes all five lights are on and I still won't getting any internet for several minutes.

solid electrical connection? AC adapter and socket appear OK?

That's your HughesNet modem. You have one of the following:
  1. Loose Connection - Check the back of the modem and the power brick that's plugged into it and make sure all the connections are firmly inserted and tight. Also check the plug at the wall socket.
  2. Bad/Intermittent/Shorted Cable or Connector outside.
  3. Bad Power Supply (the brick),
  4. Bad Modem, or modem overheating. Make sure it has plenty of ventilation.

Let me make sure I understand. You replaced your wireless router, and Your HughesNet modem stopped rebooting?!?

I got it plugged into a different socket, using a different cable cord, and I don't think the modem is overheating. I think its working a little better, but I'm still get the problem of the router turning off and back on.

Wait a minute the first post was from Shanem then Howard Vox checked his connections and Richard Collinson replaced his router and it fixed Shanem's modem?  Is that correct?

Can you let us know when this began? I'm assuming this has not been happening since you've had service.
