Is The Speed Test Working OK

I just ran 3 speed tests.  The upload speed was pretty normal - all around 2.9 Mbps.  The download speeds, however, were between 151 Mbps and 179 Mbps.  If only it truly were that fast!  Houston, we may have a problem.

If you used Testmy.net, sometimes it goes a bit wonky and displays really fast speeds.

If you're speaking of HughesNet's own speed test, it can sometimes be a bit "moody", to put it mildly.  Becasue of this, testmy.net is the recommended speed test, even though testmy can be a bit off at times, as well, as noted by maratsade.  If you use testmy.net, make sure to use the manual 25MB and 4MB sizes for download and upload tests, respectively.  Their auto test is often not accurate enough due to not lasting long enough.

Sometimes you get wonky speeds even with the 25MB tests...
