Limited connectivity to the gateway

I have had slower than usual speeds for the last few days so I did a connectivity test and it says that I have limited connectivity to the gateway.  Here are the results for the test.

Is there a way to fix this and get my normal spped back?  I have already tried rebooting the modem.

IP Gateway FLG21HNSIGW0207Adv
Packet Loss 10%
Average Delay 677 ms
Minimum Delay 600 ms
Maximum Delay 930ms

May want to run some speed tests at https://testmy.net/

Hello Maratsade,

Here are the results of the test.

For the speed tests to be accepted here, you need to use specific file sizes. For the download test you need to use the 25 MB file size, and for the upload test, 4 MB.

That link doesn't actually go to anything.  The system saw something it didn't like and replaced it with bleep.

The username for the Testmy account is the same as the OP's username here. Replace the username in the URL and the link works. 🙂

Thanks.

It's interesting that it would accept it as a Community name, then block it when used as part of a link.

Edit:  And yes, I'm a doofus.  Being that both names end in ville, I don't know why what's likely obvious to everyone else wasn't to me, as in the same name being used at testmy.  Ugh.  A senior moment for sure.  LOL.

I thought the same thing re the username.  🙂

welcome to the golden years! 😉

Nothing to fix. The 'limited' thing happens whenever you have anything different from 0% packet loss. In fact a plane going by or a bird circling the area can easily cause 10% packet loss, especially if it's sporadic. You would only see a problem when it goes over 25-30% because of the way redundant forward error checking protocols work. Bottom line: Given the average delay your stats look pretty acceptable.

My guess is your speed issue is something else completely, so I would take @maratsade's advice and do some speed tests, if you're not out of data.

Thanks.

I have 70% of my data left, so it is not a data issue.

My speeds are definitely slower.  Maybe the numbers say there is nothing to fix, but there is a problem.  Some pages don't even load completely.  I apologize, but I don't understand what maratsade is asking of me.

Mary

I think what he meant was to just post the link to the summary page on TestMy where your results are listed, instead of copying and pasting them in a post here. Part of the issue is it's hard to read, and if the link is posted the admins can see all the tests run, not just the one sample.

@hooterville

Make sure that when you run testmy.net tests you run them while signed into an account that you've created at that site.  You can then post the aforementioned "My Results" page URL so that the test results can be viewed.

Hi hooterville,

Thank you for posting your TMN results URL, these look fine and they're on par with your current speeds according to your diagnostics. Are you still experiencing any slow speeds? If so, does it happen at a certain time of the day/evening or all the time?
