MediaFire and 4Share

Not able to download from file sharing sites (MediaFire and 4Share)
 since Hughes Net changed.
I do a lot of graphics (Signature tags) for a graphics forum, we use a lot of scrap kits .
(a file of PNG's). Which have to be downloaded from MediaFire, or 4Share, Box.
I have tried different browsers, still not able to use sites.
I even have a new desktop computer. Still can't.

Re: MediaFire and 4Share

Hi Kathy,

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting. We definitely would like to help address your concerns. If you provide us with details, we can better assist you.

What error message are you getting? (Screenshots would help, here's how to do them: take-a-screenshot.org)

Have you ever been able to successfully visit those sites?

Anyone else you know able to download the same kits you're trying?

When did you notice having difficulty visiting these sites?

Have there been any changes to your system prior to your concerns?

Does disabling Web Acceleration make a difference? (Enter 92.168.0.1 in your browser then follow the steps here to find where to toggle Web Acceleration: https://community.myhughesnet.com/hughesnet/topics/can_i_enable_disable_my_web_acceleration_myself)

Does this happen on different computers/devices?

Does this happen on a non-HughesNet connection?

Does this happen even after clearing your browser cache? (How-to here: refreshyourcache.com)

Does powercycling your modem make a difference? (Unplug the HughesNet modem's power cord from the brick for 30 seconds before replugging.)

Does this happen even when directly connected to the HughesNet modem?

Does power cycling your router make a difference?

Does power cycling your computer make a difference?

Your cooperation, patience, and understanding are greatly appreciated so that we can address your concerns.

Thanks,
Liz

Have you used up all your data? Go to http://192.168.0.1 to access your modem's System Control Center. You'll see your data meter there if Anytime Data is 0%, you're out of data.

But, for some people, that can feel like it's not working at all. Apparently, PNG scrap kits can be 50 to 100 MB or more. 100 MB would take more than 3 hours at 128 Kbps

Haven't used all my Data allowance. It is at 98% available.

If you're using a wireless router, try bypassing it and connecting one computer directly to the HughesNet modem. Preferably, reboot everything.

Also, when you're in the System Control Center, is the little box near the top to the left green or yellow?
