My speed has really decreased

Re: My speed has really decreased

Hello Charles,

That is correct the highest advertised download plan speeds for the HN9000 Ka service is 5Mbps, but there is no "cap" I have seen them go higher.

Thank you for your contributions here,

Can I have some of that? Even 5 would be nice right now.

I've been trying for 15 minutes to upload a screenshot.

Hello shark59er,

You do not need to keep running them right now, and we can see the ones that you run on the HughesNet site, they stay in your history or us and you to see later. Also you only need to run about 4 or 5 different sets 4 to 5 hours apart (such as early morning, noon, afternoon, early evening and then late night), and then just do about three tests each time, but do them a few minutes apart. You should not need to spend a lot of time on this, but the results that you have already are helpful!

Thank you and have a good night,

Miles

Re: My speed has really decreased

I'm so tired of doing these speed tests, please fix this thing for me. I have never missed a payment in 7 years, even when it doesn't work right. I'm tired of paying for service I don't get.

Re: My speed has really decreased

Can I get some help here? Last night I tried twice to do these speed tests and I had no internet at all. They say people change every 7 years. I think it's time for me to change, I'm tired of paying for something I don't receive. I'm going to talk with the Attorney General about filling a claim to try to get some of my money back.

Re: My speed has really decreased

Hello Chark59er,

We checked you site again and it is operating normally, no problems found. We do appreciate your as a long term customer and have applied a service credit on your account for the past month of service. You have the HN9000 Ka Spaceway system and are on the "Pro" plan which has a download speed threshold of up to 1200 kbps and an upload threshold of 200 kbps. I would suggest that you try a service plan upgrade to the Gen4 Spaceway "Connect" plan, with a 5MB download and 1 MB upload, if you do not want the full Jupiter Gen4 upgrade. I will have a case manager call you directly to discuss your service offerings. Please see your most recent tests results below.

Thank you again for running the tests,

Miles

Re: My speed has really decreased

Um, gigs of speed? I know people with the fastest fiber internet and they don't get gigs of speed. Maybe your speaking about the military and some corporations.

Josh...  Base-10 math, 1000Kbps = 1Mbps, so those numbers posted are actually above the service plan speeds indicated in this topic.  Most people don't get even 1Gbps, they sit shy of it, most sit far lower, the current average download speed world wide is 24,100Kbps (24.1Mbps)
