The sun has been very 'active' lately:
A strong flare on the 4th may be responsible for some satellite disruption this past Weds (6 Sep).
Likewise, a strong X9.3 flare on the 6th may affect satellites today into tomorrow (8-9 Sep) as a wave of particles head towards Earth (as well as Jupiter 1 and 2).
Edit: Despite popular belief, these issues eminate from a far higher power than HughesNet. #JustSayin
Interesting. This might explain the transmission issue I experienced for a few minutes on the evening of the 6th. It was the first time I've ever experienced such with Gen5, save for when it's weather related. I unplugged the modem, left if off for a few minutes, plugged it back in and it worked. It may not have been related to the aforementioned issue, but it may have.
Thanks for the info.
