I had forgotten about the fact that the Video Data Saver's default setting is ON, regardless of whether one has the Usage Meter installed or not, and is ON from the minute one has Gen5. Downloading and installing the Usage Meter, then turning the VDS off from within such, definitely WOULD have an effect on videos that are being played in a higher definition, as the system would no longer be restricting the data flow during playback and allowing enough data to be utilized to play the video without the buffering that would have happened during the restriction.
I need to learn to read more carefully, and get more sleep.
