ive Read some of the reviews and I guess I’ll just stay on EchoStar 17. Because I really haven’t had any problems, and people on echostar 19 have.
It is best to stay on the satellite they put you on, as the installers are instructed to place people onto which ever satellite is least loaded for your exact location. This is determined every couple of weeks by the NOC, as there has been a surge of people jumping onto Echostar-19, thus causing a serious load imbalance. So Hughesnet has been mostly installing new customers on the older, and less loaded, Echostar-17.
New is not always better.
