I need to move my Gen5 dish to a temporary location to allow a roof replacement. What is the best avenue to affect this? Thanks
It is next to impossible for the consumer to repoint the dish.. The best way is to have the roofers work around it until the last possible day.. Then ask when roof will be done. Call in and schedule a appointment for replacement.. Unplug the modem then have the roofers carefully take down dish.. Then a tech will come out and reset it. That will be the least amount of down time.. I have heard roofers so many times say they can repoint it. Then try and put it back up.. And then I have to go out and fix there mess.
I agree with gokartergo. The equipment is very sensitive, so the best thing to do is wait until the end so we can schedule someone to come out and put it back up there.

I'll request a dish reset when the work is done.
