If you’re unable to access secured websites (URLs starting with “https”) or have gaming console online connection issues, our engineers have identified the root cause. The resolution is to disable UPnP (Universal Plug n’ Play) in the HughesNet WiFi modem settings, then rebooting. This applies to HT2000w WiFi modem users on Gen 5. Please follow the steps below:
1. Go to www.systemcontrolcenter.com
2. Click on WiFi Settings
3. Log into your WiFi Settings page
4. Click on Administration
5. Click on UPNP
6. Uncheck the box next to UPnP function
7. Click on SAVE SETTINGS
8. Click on Reboot
9. Click on Reboot
