Slow speed

Haven't even had hughesnet for 30 days yet and have consistently had slow speeds that are typically under 1 mbps. Had the modem replaced and it's even worse. The best speeds are when I am on the phone with tech support or the tech is here. Worst ripoff ever.

Definitely and I can’t even get on pandora locked into a 2 year contract this is BS

I see it's your first post here, so welcome to the community! We'd like to help. So we can begin addressing your speed concerns, please create a account and run 3 tests when you normally experience a slow down. Post your test results link here in your thread.


Most important points to remember during this test:

-do the tests while directly connected to the HughesNet modem with a LAN cable (this way your Hopper and multiple Amazon devices don't interfere with testing)


-use the 25MB size download test file 


-space each test at least 5 minutes apart
