I already have your account up and ready to escalate to engineering if tomorrows speeds are not better. at night I cant even go to a chat net and talk, I break up and chatter line a saw with no teeth They say it's MY computer what they cant explain is why it's good in the morning up to 4pm central then if goes right in the trash can, then they send me to some one who wants to charge me to fix something that is NOT broken, MY tech went through this machine and said it has NO Problems, I hear from everyone that Hughes is the pits One person laughed at me for signing up for the max package and showed me a site that listed thousands of complaints signed Unsatisfired
If you are having issues with your service please start a new post and include your modem serial number and/or any recent case numbers, that way the reps can locate your account.
please go to testmy.net run a few speed tests using the 12MB file and post the results. As others have stated, the load on the satellite can cause a major slow down, even if everything of your is working fine. If you could give more details on what is happening (slowness, intermediate connections, etc.) you will receive much more help.
PS not everyone hates hughesnet... almost everyone I have personally talked to loves their service they just wish it was cheaper.
It always slows down at night, that's because other people are also using it. They took away a lot of the old bandwidth to use for their phone service and so there is not much left for using the internet.
It's like water pressure. If everyone uses water at the same time, there's simply less pressure.
