Oh sorry, I misunderstood then.  Well, it's a long shot but you can always try turning on Jumbo Frames.  Jumbo Frames will probably not work with your existing network, so if you do try it, make sure you are ok with your network connection dropping for a minute until you can flip it back.

Significant increase in latency

Have experienced a significant increase in latency the last couple weeks.

Notice the first hop, which should always be 0.  Somtimes as high as 5.

 

Ignoring the hops that don't return, see the spikes to almost 5000ms.  Those spikes are happening fairly regularly.  They aren't one-offs.

Yup. More analysis shows lots of slowdowns at the gateway.  5000ms tonight.
