Often, when trying to tag people who are not involved in a thread -- for example, when trying to tag Liz or Amanda, I get "no matches." Sometimes if I keep trying, it will work, but a few minutes ago I was trying to tag both Amanda and Liz and was only able to tag Amanda. The system basically disavowed Liz's existence (bring her back!).
Is there a trick to this? I just begin typing the "@" symbol and the system searches and if the person is part of the thread, there are no issues -- but when the person is not part of the thread, many times all I get is "no matches."
Wow. Your response times are nice and low.

And my speed right now (12:23AM)... 1.1Mbps. Atrocious for that time of night. SMH. Still able to browse without issue, though, and, interestingly enough, I just watched a Youtube video in 1080p with no buffering. The Last Jedi trailer.
You're also a bit North of me, most likely with a much lower takeoff angle.
The first thing I noticed when I got this was the much lower lag times. Never really saw it higher than 400 or so, and I was getting in the 600s on the HT1100 on a good day.
My response time just now was 308ms. That's pretty good for satellite. I never checked the latency with Gen 4, but I perceived it to be much faster than Gen 5. That was the first thing I noticed after the upgrade, that pages seemed to load up much more slowly. They still do.
My speed last night was under 500 kbps. I can watch YouTube with that but it's a bit grainy.
Dunno. Part of this could also be that I use the LA server. If there was one in San Diego I'd use that too. Whatever's closest to the gateway.
I followed your advice and have been using the LA server now for a few days. 🙂
What I find that works for me is typing the @, then Liz, then waiting a second for it to NOT find her, then backing up and deleting the i and z, then waiting a second, then typing the i, then z, and it shows up, usually after adding the i back in.
So @Liz, then @L, then @Li, then @Liz if it doesn't show up by the time you add the i back in. Doing it this way I've not had any issues, though it did take a while to figure it out at first.
@GabeU, my method is very similar, and though time consuming, it usually works. But yesterday nothing worked. Today it's working again (as long as i go very slowly and go back and forth with the letters, until it goes "Oh! You meant Liz!! But of course she's here!").
It's certainly quite the "eccentric" system. 🙂

Maybe it was just working by the time I came on. I was able to tag Liz a few times yesterday.
