Yes, the username used to be admin, and the password was super secure: it was admin too. LOL. I had actually changed the whole thing the day of the install (2014, I think) and kept a cryptic note on the router's manual. I had to think for a while to figure out what the note meant!

That worked -- a login dialog comes up, but I don't seem to have a username for it on my installation notes; or rather, the username I have isn't working. Sigh. ETA: figured it out, finally. I'm on the router's main page.

I'm embarrassed to say I don't know -- the HN installer set it all up. 192.168.1.1 sounds familiar though, so he may have set it to that. I don't even remember how to open the router's internal GUI. I'll do a bit of digging and see if I can access it. I think it was installed on one of the laptops, so I'll check. Thanks, Gwalk!

Are the HN dishes smaller now, that they can go on a roof? My DirecTV dish is small and is on the roof, but my HN dish is quite large, only a little smaller than my first HN dish was.

"How do I identify which beam/gateway I'm on?" I can see that when I go to the System Control Center and click on System Information. One of the lines is labeled Beam ID.

I used to be able to connect to my work via VDI (last time was only a few weeks ago). After one of the latest Windows updates, I can't, and it has something to do with certs as well. I hope a future windows update will restore that ability.

My most memorable and agreeable interaction with a CSR was with someone who I think was in the Philippines or Thailand. She was friendly and very happy to help, and while she was checking the account we talked about our jobs and also about favorite foods (she was very surprised rice is a common food in the US). I still remember this lady. I also had a great experience chit-chatting with an agent located in India, talking about the weather, especially the rainy season over there. I like this system of them working in the background but connecting on a human level with chit-chat. Made a positive difference, at least to me.
