@GreyFox2001 @TRider @Amanda I still think that the two users are experiencing a firewall problem. I saw the error message on the taskbar once myself after the upgrade from v6.1.1 to v6.7.0.0 Usage meter IS running to generate that message on the task bar next to the network icon I suggest be absolutely sure that the NEW version is not being blocked by checking the firewall logs. here's a snippet of mine. ... @MarkJFine Good point. I looked at other files there, ie; the .log file was apended and not overwritten from an earlier version 6.1.1 I must have been lucky in my brief power outage. (hard shutdown) My Update to 6.7.0.0 left the folder there... i think. ... View more

@Amanda Thats good that the location is registered with the ATA device. Sounds like area code and number and Caller ID are also registered with the ATA device. Somebody, at activation, entered the area code and phone number. I did not, but I did enter the phone home location address and my name associated with the ATA device.   Folks sometimes have all their home phonecalls forwarded to another location (another number) so when they answer the call, the caller would assume that they were in the house.   My question; After My OLD ph# is ported (transfered) to the ATA device, will the Caller ID information also follow along? Very Strange indeed.   I heard that the windows10 upgrade screwed up a lot of stuff. MS didnt care. I'm stayin with windows7 as long as I can. On my windows98 box (that died 10 yrs ago) I tested pages on Netscape, Opera, IE, Firefox and Chrome, and dual booted with a version of Redhat.  too much for me to keep up with, too old now. I dont know about AT&T 's plans, cause I am just barely "out of cell coverage" I would need a 40' antenna on the side of my house to even bring cell signals into my house.
