Say what? I have AT&T 4G LTE and although it is nice most of the time, never seen a 250 GB plan less than HughesNet. Other than the DirecTV bundled plan which is still not really unlimited ( 22 GB  then throttled) and I'm not tying myself to another third party in the mix.   So, where is this 250 GB plan you speak of? ... Pretty decent speed if you ask me whether Gen 4 or 5. If Gen 5, you folks have been getting extremely high speeds due to the low loading and high capacity of the new satellite. May have a rude awakening once the beams get loaded more and speeds settle in closer to advertised norms.   And yea, if wanting technical help, post in the technical section. Many of us Gen4 people are still getting good speeds and happy. Some slowdowns every so often but still can stream video at low def when we want. Feel like I have to be a J1 supporter theses days. Radio signals are very quirky especially at high frequency micro wave like WiFi at 2.4 and 5 GHz. Who knows, maybe a big rock or tree is making the difference. If you want reliable, strong  dual band WiFi then best to invest in a top of the line router like the link below. To expect an ISP to provide something that costs $200 plus in a single box solution isn't realeastic. Customers would then complain about the higher lease/purchase cost. Kind if a no win for HughesNet. Most low cost Android phones only support the 2.4 GHz band. As to why it doesn't work on that band I have no idea. Could try tweaking the WiFi security settings on the phone.   My old Pantech P9090 phones with Android 4.1.2 work fine on Gen 4 HughesNet. ... View more
