Apparently, your sales department likes to deceive people just to get new customers. On June 26th, I called Exede and was told they offered 10 GB for 49.99. I called HughesNet and was told for 49.99 I could get 55 GB. Obviously, 55 GB is much better for the same price, so I ordered HughesNet. On June 28th, the guy came out to install it. The first month of service was fine; however, I never received a paper bill. I received an email that my bill was ready to view. That same day, my debit card was automatically charged for the bill. I NEVER signed up for autopay and NEVER gave permission to charge my card. I called to have my debit card information removed and to request a paper bill. I was told I would be charged $5.00 per month for a paper bill. I told the CSR, he could leave me on paperless billing, but NOT autopay and he advised me that HughesNet “can’t” do that, that if I’m not set up for autopay, I MUST receive a paper bill and pay the extra $5.00 per month. Absolute ridiculousness!!!! One sheet of paper doesn’t cost $5.00. Yesterday and today, our internet has been extremely slow. I logged on to my account and it showed two different graphs. One of them showed zero data left. The other, called bonus bytes did have data left. I initiated a chat with your customer service department in order to find out what “bonus bytes” were. I was basically told that I’m paying for 5 GB of data and the other 50 GB are an “additional” feature, which can only be used between 2:00 AM and 8:00 AM. This little tidbit of “important information” was NEVER discussed, or brought up by the sales person, when I called to order service. Obviously, if I had been told when ordering it, that I was only paying for 5 GB of service (because I’m not surfing the net between 2:00 AM and 8:00 AM, I’m sleeping), I would have gone with Exede. The entire reason for having to get satellite internet, is because my local cable company doesn’t service my home and in order to do so, it would cost $4000.00 to run the cable. However, after being completely deceived by your company, I’m willing to pay the $4000.00 in order to get CHEAPER, UNLIMITED and reliable service, because I’m certainly NOT paying 129.99 per month for unreliable satellite internet!!!! I WILL be making complaints and I have every intention of cancelling my service. And please don’t think I’m going to pay for any early termination, because that WON’T happen.
