@Taarnac It is likely that the 50%-70% referenced in the article is just an average, whereas individual experiences will vary. With regard to Tech Support wanting to charge you, I'm sure it's for trying to get HughesNet to better work with something for which it is not designed, nor recommended, so it technically wouldn't fall under the category of something for which they wouldn't charge. They're basically charging for the work of trying to set something up for which, again, there is no official support. I surely hope that your IT department can help, but I don't know that they will be able to make it work any better. With this said, as with the OP, if you were told during your sales call that VPNs would work with HughesNet you may have recourse. If this is the case, it would be best to start a new topic to request that your sales call be reviewed.
