I requested a transfer of service on July 3, 2018 because I was under contract until June of 2019. I contacted Hughesnet recently because our service was down and inquired about when exactly the contract ended. I was told July, 3 2020 to which I was totally shocked! I do not recall be told that when I called to transfer service! Apparently that action upgraded me to gen 5 and renewed my contract for an additional 2 years! I do not wish to have this service any longer than originally contracted for. We have not had good service at all, in fact we have no service now as it is currently down....again, this is the 3rd time in 3 days!
