Unreturned Equipment Fee

My internet was set up two months ago Beginning was as slow as it is now. I was sold and told "great fast internet that I can stream videos and have my cameras connected to" "30gb of satellite data is the same as hundreds of LTEgb Data" I was then told my internet is slow because it is winter where I live. Now the weather is fine and they have confirmed the satilite is receiving a full signal. I spoke with 4 different tech support agents on the phone no one could help. I spoke with 2 people that said they were managers that sounded like they were in a bar they said they did "different' tests and to call back in a couple days if it didn't solve my issues. I called back talked to multiple tech support agents again that did the same things and that I had to tell them what was going on again and again and again. They then sent a tech to my business. They replaced every single piece of hardware and nothing worked to fix it. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My speed is 0.02mbps Average!!!!!!!!!!!!! testmy.net gives me a download speed of 0.02 mbps with one device connected. The tech was here in person and got the exact same problem. Hey called tech support once again for me and was on the phone with them for an hour. They said no one has ever seen this and to wait two hours. I then called after I waited a whole 6 hours. I was sent to 3 different people and after an hour and a half made it to a nice manager that said he was going to wave my cancelation fee of almost $800 thats along with the $300 visa I was told I would get if I signed up. The manager sent me to an account manager that said I had to still pay the $800 Then he said I needed to go back to tech support AGAIN. I talked to three more people after that and was told now I need to wait two days again. This is outrageous. I have contacted legal counsel and will spend as much money as it takes to make sure I will not have to pay a cancelation fee for 0.02mbps average speed. Ive been lied to hung up on and transferred at least 30 times and everyone acts like they have no idea whats going on and pretends theres nothing they can do to help or that they don't know anyone that can help. THIS IS FRAUD. FBI AND BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU WILL NOT STOP RECEIVING PROOF OF FRAUD UNTIL MY INTERNET IS DISCONNECTED AND MY ACCOUNT IS DELETED I am a reasonable person and signed up for internet around 40mbps I am getting 0.02 thats 99.98% slower than the customer average. I am available anytime of the day or night. This is illegal. I signed a contract for a service that I am not receiving. You are going against the contract not me.12KViews1like20CommentsEquipment Return
I literally spoke to a customer service person a couple of hours ago about cancelling my service. He told me about the box being sent for the equipment return. I specifically asked if someone would need to climb into the roof for the dish and this person told me no, that the dish could be disposed of. Now I'm reading on here that not only is there something on the dish that has to be returned, but I'm going to be charged $200 if I don't return it. Let me guess, I'll also be charged a service fee if someone has to come out to remove the dish? This is ridiculous and a pretty sorry way to do business.Solved12KViews0likes4CommentsHughesNet Voice Activation

Look I don't mean to be a complete pain in the bum but, I don't expect a 300$ from someone else's account that is not part of my account. But that's my other point my highest service is apparently fused with the internet my grandmother had at an old address. I'm supposed to be the complete account holder of the service I have and not be the sub account of the one address I do not live at. I'm. Not paying the stupid f-ing charge of 300 dollars which isn't part of my account so take it off and for more matters dissociate my address from 115 state hwy 47 bonne terre mo, 63648 I'm not going to pay for someone else's bill.Solved11KViews0likes10CommentsRadio Transmitter Removal
I had to cancel my Hughes Net services today. I moved to Texas from North Carolina last month. I had my account on hold and was planning on continuing in Texas. The place we moved to doesnt allow this service is why I cancelled. My disconect fee is 355.00. I did agree to a 24 month contract and realize I didnt complete the contract. 355.00 is my early termination fee. When I left North Carolina, I was told to leave the radio transmitter. Today, I was told to mail it back with the modem and power supply. I am 900 miles away and told it will be a 300.00 dollar charge if not returned. I was suggested that I get someone to take it down for me. This seems like a very dangerous idea for someone to climb on the roof. I called my old neighbor which is a man in his 60's. He was very reluctant to climb on the roof. I dont blame him. I would hate for him to get hurt. I was told its easy to take off. Plus we sold our house nd not a very good idea to be climing on someone elses property. A tech installed it and I belive should take it down. Dont believe I should be charged for this. I have been a loyal customer for over 3 years , never late or anything like that. My modem went out and T/S says they will send me a new updated one and I did'nt have to return the old outdated one. 2 months later they charge me $125.00 for non return of equipment after I was told not to return it. Now I have to wait a month before I get my money back for the fraudulent charges they billed me for i'm sure this happens to a lot of people and goes un noticed. Once I have been refunded I will be paying monthly by check.9.6KViews1like16CommentsIs poor customer service normal
I see a few other topics on here. I ran into an issue where I had a metal roof put on my home and when I called to have my service reconnected. THey informed me my equipment that was out dated - my 2yr contract had ended a month prior and Set me up for an install of the new equpment. Fast forward to a month after the new equipment is running and I'm double billed for the new service and the old service the installer removed. Two days of emails and phone calls to simply have some kind of note added to my account to "ease confusion later" incase I encounter any issues... Issues relating to them assigning two SANs to my address by malforming my address to spoof their system and double charge me. Once that was finally corrected, here we are 3 months later and they now billed me for not returning the equipment their own installer took after the initial install of the updated equpment. I call and "Due to COVID19 staffing is low" and I'm instructed to call back later and the system hangs up. I try to use the Chat option and am told there are no representatives available and disconnects the chat. I try the email option which loads an online form - not an email address - that limits my character imput to 200 characters. Hard to even ask why I was erroneously billed. Never received a copy of the email sent - Assuming it even did. I have been a customer going into my third year and if I had any other options for internet I would take it without a second thought. TLDR: Hughesnet billed me an extra $450 and have had no way to communicate with me as to why... again.Solved9.1KViews0likes15CommentsSorry
I was told i would be able to watch netflix in one room while my boyfriend plays his online games in our living room. I asked if i would be able to do that and my sales rep (don't remember his name) said it would be fast enough for this and that the plan i have is the same as his and it works great for him and his family at home. I did ask if it was unlimited but i know understand it has a data usage. We go through 10 in a day or two. I was just wondering if i should upgrade my current plan or if i should look elsewhere? If you think i should upgrade just tell me which plan would work best for online gaming and streaming at the same time. Thanks in advance!Solved8.8KViews0likes11Comments
