Had Hughesnet installed this morning. Big mistake. Support was terrible. I spent 3 hours on my cell phone with them as now my Hughes home phone will not work. Internet speed is: Download 2.13 Upload 1.08 . The agents had no idea how to fix, they kept putting me on hold so they could ask supperiors how to fix. Refused to send me to level 2 support so they could assist. So sorry I switched. They told me someone would be out in 2-3 days.Agent told me installer put modem in basement by computer and that was wrong? Also have extender but to them that didn't matter. If I want to discontinue I must pay $400? Never recomment this provider again.53Views0likes1CommentHughesnet is a total rip-off
Worst company I have ever dealt with for Internet. Woman lied and said 100gb a month would support 3 tvs and 3 phones. I'm paying around 200 a month for extra tokens. Loved that Xmas sale ..buy one get two free but forgot to mention they tripled the price. I'm just waiting for a call. They even control what words you can use70Views0likes1CommentBlocking phone numbers and other divices
Hi I'm new to the community forum. I was on Google trying to figure out how to block someone from my internet and the answer was in one of your answers. I just want to thank you for that. Now maybe this person will move out because she's constantly using all my data w her phone, computer and tv. I also read some post about the $100 rebate. I'm coming up on a year of hughs net and I still haven't received mine. I tried 3 times, followed instructions exactly as they walked me through it and nothing. Hopefully we get it sometime b4 our contracts are up. I'll never use hugsnet again.111Views0likes1CommentVery poor internet service
I had my internet installation done on Friday Sept. 6. My previous service was through CenturyLink and was at 1.5Mbps. CenturyLink did not have any option for me to upgrade and recommended HughesNet. I was told speeds would be up around 40Mbps and only 1 time and during installation has it reached that level. There are many times I get a "No Internet Service" when trying to open my home page. I run speed test often and usually I get from 11-15Mbps but I can't tell the difference between what I had before. For what I'm now paying, I expect more. Is the dish aligned correctly??? Very dissapointed!1.2KViews0likes5CommentsHad a visitor earlier...
What was amazing is that I first saw it as I was walking back to my house from across the street. Even getting as close as about 25 feet, it didn't move. I don't know if it thought acting like a statue would make me not see it, but it was perfectly still. Even when I opened the window in my house to take the pic, which it surely heard, it still didn't move. I keep forgetting to turn off the scene optimizer on my S23, so the pic looks a little funny.1.7KViews1like5CommentsSPAM Concern
Anyone else seeing an uptake in spam to their hughesnet email address? It has been absolutely crazy the past few days. Over 50 spam emails just yesterday. It isn't even noon today and over 30. I understand I made a mistake years ago getting started with a hughesnet email address and plan to start the long process of switching to something else because real high-speed fiber is coming to my area next year. But it seems that Hughesnet is doing nothing to stop spam. I even get spam from hughesnet email addresses!!!!3.5KViews0likes6Comments- 3.2KViews2likes5Comments
