Does the Due Date for an AutoPay customer have to be the same date the bill is created? It appears the AutoPay amount hit my financial institution before I received the notification my bill was ready. It would be nice as an AutoPay customer to have a few days between the date the bill is created and the date the payment is deducted from my financial institution. What compounds this issue is the Notifications page has an option called "Set a billing reminder that your bill is due in X number of days." I had this set to 5 days. The way I see it I will never get that notification if my due date (AutoPay date) is the same day the bill is created. I'm assumming that notification is for someone not set up on AutoPay.6.6KViews0likes7CommentsInability to see invoice prior to CC being charged
I would like to actually see how much money is going to be taken out of my checking account prior to it being taken out. I’ve trie and tried to figure out how to do this, but have been unsuccessful. I would like to prevent NSF charges at the bank, and that’s hard to do if you can’t see your bill beforehand. Please help.Solved5.6KViews0likes2CommentsCustomer Service Complaint
I have been having connection issues with Hughesnet from my first month of service. I take online classes and cannot stay connected long enough to get through an hour long class. Last month after I had paid my bill Hughesnet reversed payment for some unknown reason and charged me a $25.00 return payment fee. NOTE: HUGHESNET not my bank reversed this payment, it isn't even showing up for my bank as a returned payment, with the bank it shows only a single transaction, my payment and it cleared the day after I posted it! So, I contacted customer support to find out why this happend. I got a tech who did NOT speak English as his first language. This is the actual email confirmation response I received. "Contact Reason: Billing Info - Explanation of Charges - Educated Customer" Whoa! Educated customer!!!!! Sorry but I do NOT need a ignorant tech support person educating me on anything!!! Offended, **bleep** yes I am! I was biting the bullet with bad connection service until this little piss ant decided that he had educated me. I had to go away on a business trip the day after this call, when I came home they had disconnected my internet for nonpayment. I sent support a copy of my bank statements showing I had paid, nothing, crickets......totally ignored. After waiting a few days I contacted my bank and had the payment reversed! Not getting my money after being so insulting and then ignoring me when I was paid in full on my account. I am stuck with this dang 2 year contract paying over $80 a month for service I can't use and I can't get a live person that speaks English as their first language on the phone if I can even get anyone to answer I am surprised. If you know anyone thinking about using Hughesnet tell them to run as fast as they can. I have had nothing but problems from the day the tech showed up to install the dish on. I won't even go into all the details and multiple trips from another state just getting this company to plant a dish entailed. I will say this, I WILL NOT CUT DOWN ANOTHER TREE for this company!4.1KViews1like3CommentsTrouble Understanding Bill.
So, I watched the video on the app that explains how the billing process works, and even listened to the Audio step by step on the billing history page. However, it’s not clearly explained to me (or maybe i’m just having difficulty understanding), how exactly this works. I get that you pay a month in advance or something like that, but the rest of it just confuses me.Solved2KViews0likes7Commentsbill past due
Hi, just got an e-mail that states my bill is past due. It is due on 4/20/25. So how can it be past due? It does show 25.00 past due. But my bill shows 75.92 like always I have 25.00 creidts per month and it shows I used 2 out of 6 and this month using the 3rd. My bill was 100.92 and I mailed in 75.92 for 2/21/25 and that was for taking off the 25.00 creidt. My history shows you used the first 25.00 for the bill of 100.92 on 2/21/25. I don't know if I am miss understanding my payment history. My bill that I just mailed for 4/20/25 just shows I am due for a payment of 75.92. My invoice I got in the mail does not state any late fee. I hope this gets sorted out. If I owe the past due of 25.00 add it to my invoice, I do not believe I do since you used my creidt. So that I can pay it. I don't look at my bill on computer unless there is a problem. Thank You, shadowwalker.2015504Views0likes1CommentPayment "reversed", service suspended and missing money....
I set up automatic payment through my bank but I didn't get the money in there before Hughesnet attempted to collect. Dang. So I went on the app to try to pay with my card instead but I couldn't. So next I use bill pay feature on my banks app to send payment. A week later my service was suspended for non payment? I called customer service and was told they reversed the payment back to my bank. Idk why because I owed the money and was trying to pay it. So I pay the bill over the phone thinking I'll get the returned payment back.....no. Called the bank. Payment was COMPLETED. There was no reversed payment or returned payment.....I want my money. I paid this bill 2x. No one can tell me what happened to the money or why it was reversed.....I'm angry. So now I might just have to try and dispute it? 😐122Views0likes3CommentsRemy my $25.00 discount

There is a property tax recovery charge on my hugesnet bill. We already pay sales tax and tax on leased equipment. We aren't buying or leasing property from Hugesnet, we're buying or leasing equipment, there should not be a property tax charge. That's double taxation at the very least because we're already paying sales tax and equipment lease taxes. The property tax recovery charge/tax is not a tax required by the government for Internet providers. I'd like to know where Hughesnet gets the idea that it is. I can find no information, no law or mandate, relating to internet providers being allowed or required to charge consumers property tax.108Views0likes2Comments
