SpaceX Falcon 9 Satellite Launch Explosion - HughesNet Uneffected

This morning's launch pad explosion of SpaceX Falcon 9 satellite at Cape Canaveral, FL was disappointing for many.  Fortunately, no one was injured.  HughesNet satellite service was not impacted.  For more information, follow this link - http://money.cnn.com/2016/09/01/news/companies/spacex-explosion/

Plus SpaceX is developing their own boosters, nothing to do with tried and true engines which are basically derived from US nuclear missile boosters.

The Atlas V rocket which has been in use since 2002 and will be used to launch Jupiter 2 uses a Russian made RD-180 engine.

But because of this. Launch dates get pushed back. It is the domino effect.

Space X sure does seem to have some problems, though many of them are due to trying things no other companies or governments have.

It may delay the bird that Viasat is planning on launching, but Hughesnet has no current plans to use SpaceX...  I would probably suggest the reasoning is that SpaceX is young and has a rather poor success rate IMO as for why Hughesnet wouldn't use them and will use a more experienced company.

This may be true...  But, such an explosion shouldn't have really occurred on the ground like that...  The launch system overall should be rather reliable by now.

No doubt.  It will be interesting to see what actually caused the explosion.  Hopefully it wasn't something pitifully stupid.  That would not only be a huge embarrassment, but would certainly tarnish their name a bit.
