Add router MAC address into the Hughesnet Modem router Address Reservation

Ive a problem with my xbox 360 multiplayer not working so i tried to add MAC address to my netgear router, but its not working.  Im not sure but thinking I should've added it to the Modem router.  HOw can i do this?  Help as I now have my xbox not recognizing anything wireless. I was trying to follow these instructions, but made a mess.

just a follow:  This xbox 360 is only used to play minecraft with my grandchildren remotely.  This is very important to us.  Hoping someone can help me.

Unfortunately this network may not support real-time gaming because of high latency and double-NATing. In fact, the setup procedures on the XBox give incorrect information that lead you to believe there is an MTU problem during the "test", when it is actually connected to XBox Live.
