After high-speed runs out

I was informed by the sales rep that the after-high-speed runs out would reduce my speeds to 5-8 megabytes ish. I was told that I could watch sd netflix even when the high speed runs out.

More like 150 kbps as explained here: http://legal.hughesnet.com/FairAccessPolicyGen4.cfm

And no way on the SD Netflix.

Hello rgm12355,

Thanks for making a post! I replied to your other comment before I saw this one 🙂

If you recently ordered your service, I'd be more than happy to see if your sales call is available for review. I will be back with an update soon or if I need more information from you.

Thank you,

What's the speed with SmartBrowsing? Has anyone clocked it?  I have SB but have never had to use it.

I'd estimate about 1Mbps-2Mbps depending on time of day, traffic, etc.

The thing about SmartBrowsing is you can't really test the speed of it since sustained downloads aren't affected by the SmartBrowsing feature, so running a test generally "halts" SmartBrowsing and the results won't look as good as normal browsing feels.

My package includes smart browsing, but in my account, it shows that it is not active.

It won't activate unless you run out of data. By "my account" do you men the Status Meter?

My dashboard. Thanks, and what exactly does SmartBrowsing do?

It allows you to browse normally as long as not going to pages with automatic videos playing. Trying to download files will cause full throttling of around 150 kbps to kick in. Recommend you install ad blockers on all browsers.

Recommend any?

Depends on browser but I use Ad Block Plus. Quick search will show the different ones available.

@Amanda: "I'd estimate about 1Mbps-2Mbps depending on time of day, traffic, etc." That's pretty good. I hope I never have to use it, but it's good to know it's there.

Hi rgm12355

I was able to find your sales call and review it. Your initial post is basically a quote word for word on what the sales agent said. We'll be escalating this to their supervisor and the corporate manager for this particular sales center for additional review.

With that said, I'd like to offer the opportunity to cancel your services without an early termination fee. Please let me know if this is something you'd like to do .

Thanks,
Amanda
