Found our problem with suddenly high consumption of data using Glasswire.
It was a podcast catcher I installed on my Android phone. It was consuming over 1GB per day on its own, due to ads and other garbage.
Deleted it and went back to manually downloading podcasts.
It was Stitcher, but I'm guessing most of them have similar problems.
Sorry for the fresh subject, but I couldn't see how to add a reply to prior pinned threads.
