I have a WI-FI thermostat made by Emerson and sold under the Sensi brand. It works great in my home whereI have a wired ATT connection. However, at the vacation lakehouse, it connects/disconnects intermittently. My Hughnet modem is an HT200W. Anyone else have similar problems with any WI-FI device? Here's info on the thermostat: https://sensi.emerson.com/en-us
Are you trying to control/monitor the thermostat remotely, or is it losing the WiFi connection while you are there?
We are having the same problem. Sensi thermostats work great at our primary residence with cable internet. But at our vacation home, with HughesNet, it connects and disconnects intermittently...and is generally offline.
The links below discuss this issue. From the second one it sounds like only certain routers are compatible. You may need to use a third party router instead of the HughesNet built in one to make the devices work reliably.
It's been a while since we last heard from you, so we will close this thread. BirdDog posted a link for you to determine whether or not you may need a third party router. If you still have concerns, please start a new thread and include a detailed explanation so we can better assist you.
