I have had HughesNet for about 2 weeks at my 2nd home / Cottage. The first weekend we were up I installed a Nest thermostat and had good luck operating it remotely for the first week, although streaming was hit or miss. The next weekend I changed the SSID and apparantly fried the modem/router. A Tech replaced my modem, last friday. Over the last weekend the service was EXTREMELY slow. (Examples from Speedtest on my Samsung Phone, not with a LAN Cable, 2.85Mbps and 4.39Mbps down). We could rarely stream anything from my Roku TV or Apple TV. Over the past few days my Nest thermostat has been offline. I reconnected it last night before leaving for the week, but is now disconnected again. It is a small place (1100 SF)and I am connecting to the 2g side. Any ideas? I am not there during the week, I am thinking it is not even worth adding cameras or a weather station. Thanks. Could it be that my billing address is NOT my service address?
