Gen4? Speed?

How do I find out if I have a Gen4 connection and how fast it is supposed to be (just the advertised speed...I don't want to perform a speed test inasmuch as I am over the data limit for this month)?

If your service was installed before mid March 2017 it's Gen4.  If it was after then, it's Gen5.  But, to check for sure, sign into the HughesNet MyAccount site, hover over My Services and click on My Service Plan.  You'll see your service plan listed.

Gen5 advertised speed is up to 25Mbps down and 3Mbps up.

Gen4 plans vary, but did range from up to 10Mbps to 15Mbps down and 1Mbps to 2Mbps up.
