Getting activation error 012 and can’t connect with HN Chat

I called Customer care and she told me to unplug ATA for 10 sec and then retry Activation steps but I got the same error 012. She said I could get more advice from HN chat but nothing happens when I click on it. I'm using chrome as browser. Please advise.

Just in case it may make a difference..


1.  Unplug the ATA and the HughesNet modem.   While the units are unplugged it might be a good idea to unplug and then plug the Ethernet cable(s) back in to ensure it's nice and snug.   

2.  After waiting for at least 60 seconds, plug the HughesNet modem back in.

3.  After waiting for at least five minutes, which will give the HughesNet modem time to be fully back up and ready, plug the ATA back in.

4.  After a few minutes, try the Voice service again.  I don't have Voice, so I don't know how long it takes for the ATA to be up and fully ready after plugging it in, but two or three minutes will likely be enough.
