Home networked security camera

If I connect my wireless security camera to wifi on my HT2000W that I will be receiving will it use up my Data?

That all depends how your camera records and live streams, whether it is all done locally or goes to the "cloud". My Nest cameras go through their cloud server so both live streaming and recording use data. For that reason I don't leave them on all the time, only when I want to see what is going on while away.

 

Now, if your cameras have an app that does everything locally through your network then they shouldn't use your Internet data.

Thanks for your response. No cloud here. It just records to whatever PC's SSD. The Router I have now never used data. I was just checking to make sure that my activity on my cam was not beamed out somewhere then beamed back in to me.
