With this said, however, the combination of the high latency inherent to satellite internet and the present congestion, which is being caused by high system load as a result of so many people being home, can cause streaming to be problematic. One thing you can try is turning off, or snoozing, the Video Data Saver, but this may not help.
As for gaming, real time online games do not work well with HughesNet, if they work at all, due to the aforementioned high latency. There is no fix for this. Turn based games, however, should be fine.
