I don't use Netflix, but considering how many people using HN have trouble with Netflix it would be nice if Netflix did this for HN customers. Set the default to low def, and give the option to increase resolution if desired.

Yes I know that Netflix users already have control of playback resolution but it seems most people don't figure that out until they've already burned through their data.

I thought it would be interesting to get the opinion of HN users who actually use Netflix. Like I said, I don't.
