New modem wont connect to existing dish

I live in a rural area and just got the newer HT2000w modem. The modem system light does not light up and Hughes wants to sent out a service tech at a $160 cost to me- I will fight that. They could not solve over the phone. Anyone know if this requires a new dish or just a tweak to the current dish or something else. Is it a 5G thing? Thanks

The problem could be caused by a number of things, but if it's not something that can be assessed or resolved remotely there's no way to know without a tech troubleshooting it on site.

HughesNet doesn't use 5G. That's a cellular standard.
