PC Smart Care

Hello,

Does anyone know about an outfit called PC Smart Care? 3 years ago I used them to allegedly “fix” a router problem I had, charging me $149. They claim to be the troubleshooting entity working with Hughes Net. Whether they fixed anything I don’t know.

Now they are coming back claiming I have a problem with my computer and they can fix it. My computer has been working just fine and I have no interest to have them fiddle with it again.

Has anyone ever had an experience like this? Needless to say they must be located in Bangladesh judging by their accents!

Not saying this is the case, but I'd be wary of any company that invites themself to fix something that you didn't think was broken. There are plenty of phone scams telling people they are from Microsoft (or someother tech company) and have detected a virius on their computer and only they can fix it... Riiiight....

PFSmartCare... Never heard of them, pretty sure Hughes doesn't contract work out to them for customers computer issues either... I want to say that's Home something another...

What's funny is, what I can find says they are based out of India, however they claim to be based out of California...?

I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole.

I'd be VERY wary.  It sounds like a complete scam to me, and I woudn't have ANYTHING to do with them.

Did they call you and tell you that you have a problem with your computer or network?  If so, it absolutely IS A SCAM, and I hope, for your sake, you gave them no personal information they may not have already had.
